Terms and Conditions

Last updated: November 1, 2023

Please read these Terms and Conditions ("Terms", "Terms and Conditions") carefully before using the https://spectrumhearing.co.uk website (the "Website") and the microsuction ear wax removal services (the "Service") operated by Spectrum Hearing Ltd ("us", "we", or "our").

Your access to and use of the Service is conditioned on your acceptance of and compliance with these Terms. These Terms apply to all visitors, users, and others who access or use the Service.

By accessing or using the Service you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you disagree with any part of the terms then you may not access the Service.

1. Services

Spectrum Hearing provides mobile microsuction ear wax removal services performed by a qualified and HCPC registered audiologist. We aim to provide this service in a safe, professional, and comfortable manner at your home address within our specified service area.

Before any procedure, an assessment of your ears will be conducted. If, in the professional judgment of our audiologist, the procedure is not suitable or safe for you, or if no wax is found, we reserve the right not to proceed. In such cases, a consultation fee may still apply (see section 4).

2. Appointments and Cancellations

When booking an appointment, you agree to provide accurate and complete information, including your name, contact details, and address for the home visit.

We require at least [e.g., 24 hours] notice if you wish to cancel or reschedule your appointment. Cancellations made with less than [e.g., 24 hours] notice, or if our audiologist is unable to gain access to your property at the agreed time, may be subject to a cancellation fee or the full service fee. We will endeavor to provide you with as much notice as possible if we need to reschedule your appointment due to unforeseen circumstances.

Our ability to perform the service is subject to safe access to your property and a suitable environment for the procedure (e.g., adequate lighting, space, and a power source if required).

3. Suitability for Treatment

It is your responsibility to disclose any relevant medical conditions, ear history, or allergies to our audiologist during the consultation prior to the procedure. This includes, but is not limited to, previous ear surgery, perforations, infections, or current use of blood-thinning medication.

While microsuction is generally a safe procedure, all medical procedures carry some inherent risk. Our audiologist will discuss potential risks or side effects with you if applicable. Following pre-appointment advice (e.g., use of olive oil drops) can help minimise discomfort and ensure a smooth procedure.

4. Pricing and Payment

Our current pricing for the home visit microsuction ear wax removal service is published on our Website on the Pricing section ([link to #pricing section on main page]). This fee includes the consultation, assessment of both ears, and microsuction wax removal for one or both ears if required and deemed appropriate.

If, upon assessment, no significant ear wax is found that requires removal, or if the procedure cannot be safely performed for clinical reasons, a consultation fee of £[e.g., 40] will apply to cover the cost of the home visit and the professional assessment. This will be communicated to you before any decision not to proceed with removal.

Payment is due at the time of service. We accept [List accepted payment methods, e.g., cash, card payments].

All prices are in GBP and are subject to change without prior notice, though booked appointments will be honored at the price agreed at the time of booking.
